According to this article, a child was struck by a district vehicle Friday morning while trying to cross the street near Harney Middle School. The child was transported to University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

“The accident was reported at 7:40 a.m. Friday at the intersection of American Beauty Avenue and South Hollywood Boulevard.
The victim, a Harney Middle School student, was transported to UMC with lower extremity injuries, Officer Bill Cassell said. The child was not wearing a bicycle helmet.”
